Funded by the UK Space Agency and delivered by the South West Centre of Excellence in Satellite Applications, SETsquared Exeter and Goonhilly Earth Station, it is the perfect start-up accelerator if you want to create a product or business using satellite data and technology.

    Stage One

    Entrepreneurs' Programme
    (3 days)

    Gain insights into the space sector, brush up on your business skills and re-think the values behind your business in this bespoke entrepreneurship training programme.

  • SETsquared

    Stage Two

    Bespoke SETsquared Exeter business support
    (3 months)

    After successful completion of the entrepreneurship programme, we provide you with a full 3 months of tailored business support. You will be able to tap into the following resources:

    ● Access to satellite data, technologies and test facilities
    ● Expert support from industry leaders
    ● Fast-track to funding
    ● Hot-desk facilities across the South West
    ● Specific networking events

  • Goonhilly

    Stage Three

    Grow-on office space including business support at Goonhilly Earth Station
    (12 months)

    Up to four high-potential start-ups will be selected to benefit from 12 months of free office space at Goonhilly Earth Station, including business support.

You will be participating in a bespoke 3 day entrepreneurship programme delivered by SETsquared Exeter and stakeholders from the sector. (Agenda below is preliminary and subject to change.)

Sigma Technical – CEO Mike Badley

Mike Badley

Sigma Technical is undertaking the design and development of a unique and highly capable physical conditioning system. Through the use of state-of-the-art electromechanical hardware, control systems and data management the project aims to digitise human performance training.

The system designed by Sigma Technical is designed to optimise physical potential in terrestrial training for both pre or post flight applications as well as providing a complete solution to musculoskeletal maintenance in low or micro gravity environments.

Through their participation in the SpaceTech incubator, Sigma Technical were able to attract £5k of funding through the South West Centre of Excellence for Satellite Applications, and through ongoing support from the SpaceTech team they succeeded in receiving several £100k from Innovate UK.
