Phase 2 is a prestigious new building that has attained an Excellent rating in the Buildings Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Methods (BREEAM) - the highest rating a building can achieve in the world's most widely used environmental assessment method for buildings.

Eco-friendly design features include:

• Termodeck, an award winning heating, cooling and ventilating system that uses the thermal mass within Phase 2 to provide low-energy occupant comfort. This highly efficient system meets the most demanding environmental legislation whilst offering a sustainable building with lower running and maintenance costs.
• Rainwater harvesting supplying the grey water systems in the lavatories
• Energy saving light systems including bulbs, motion and occupancy sensors

The Innovation Centre is also collaborating with researchers in the University to develop and pilot new environmental technologies in the building, and wherever possible, with our clients to make the facilities services more environmentally friendly.
