Our ICT provision has been designed to provide an easy-access, flexible and future-proof platform for IT and telecoms. Every unit has multi-access telephone and Internet ports connected to a main communications and server room. The ‘flood wired’ cable infrastructure is configured to enable ‘plug and play’ services:
- Telephone (both analogue/digital conversion and Voice Over IP, VOIP)
- Fax
- Local Area Networking (LAN)
- Wide Area Networking (WAN)
- Potentially unlimited broadband Internet connectivity
- Video conferencing (both ISDN and IP)
- Access to Virtual Private Networks (VPN) to enable remote working and multi-site collaborations
In collaboration with hardware, software and service providers, using VOIP, the Centre can offer a flexible, scaleable telephone system to tenants:
- Unified messaging (retrieval of voice, fax and email)
- Desktop faxing
- Retrieval of messages anywhere in the building or the world
- Access to switchboard and call queuing solutions for individual units
